SGD Pharma announces its partnership with the Ompi Ez-fill® platform in order to offer sterile and depyrogenated vials to the parenteral market.
SGD Pharma will be the first molded glass supplier to offer RTU vials through the Ompi EZ-fill® platform, the Italian leading supplier in the sterile glass vials industry.
The platformhas been created by Ompi at first for syringes (2007) and then extended in 2010 to vials and cartridges. It has four main advantages:
- Maximizes flexibility in aseptic filling that can be integrated into the already existing pharmaceutical manufacturing filling lines.
- Provides less time to market which is the perfect solution both during clinical trials and during the industrialization phase.
- Offers maximum safety during the transportation phase and in the buffering/in-feeding operations.
- Reduces the total cost of ownership enabling pharmaceutical companies to outsource their non-core activities, to lower footprint and to reduce costs.
