We are proud to announce that our Zhanjiang plant has obtained ISO 14021 certification for its post-consumer recycled (PCR) glass packaging, awarded by Bureau Veritas.
This marks a major first in China’s glass industry, and a significant step forward in supporting beauty brands with verified, sustainable packaging solutions.
A Key Milestone in Our Decarbonization Strategy
PCR glass manufacturing directly contributes to SGD Pharma’s goal of reducing Scope 1 & 2 emissions by 42% and Scope 3 emissions by 25% by 2030.
According to FEVE – the European Container Glass Federation, every 10% increase in recycled cullet cuts energy use by 3% and CO₂ emissions by 5%. Our recent production campaign includes 18% to 35% PCR content, aligned with FEVE’s calculation standards.
